“In the mid 1990’s the phenomenon now called blogging was little more than the
sometimes nutty, sometimes inspired writing of online diaries. These days, there are
tech blogs, sex blogs, drug blogs, teenage blogs, news blogs, and commentary blogs.
The phenomenon is real. Blogging is changing the media world in a publishing
revolution more profound than anything since the printing press”. Blimey, that’s
blogging, is it?
All a bit more serious than I thought when, as writer of a “monthly” newsletter that’s
come out 22 times in 11 years (you do the maths), I agreed to jot down some
thoughts daily (LOL!) to let the world know what life is really like in our industry.
The Whole of the Blog is the very first online diary devoted to US recruitment
advertising (now, why doesn’t that surprise me?) and is our tiny contribution to the
publishing revolution mentioned above.
Feel free to use the facility that allows you to respond to our rantings, although be
aware that we have to reserve the right to edit replies. On that censorious note, here
we go…
